In recent years, Windsor Fair has become one of the premier
agricultural fairs in Maine. Many people ask the reason for such growth. My
response has been and will continue to be, the tremendously dedicated board of
trustees, department heads, sponsors, and volunteers who spend so much of their
valuable time and effort to make our fair successful.
We attempt to make our fair interesting, educational, enjoyable, and affordable
for the whole family. In addition, we work very hard to keep our fairgrounds
clean and attractive. Available funds are invested each year in new structures
or the enhancement of necessary utilities.
This year we plan to initiate a plan for a new animal
agricultural/education center, provide safety fencing in livestock areas, more
paving in the grandstand area, a new information building, new septic system,
provide additional parking, a new exercise area for draft animals and do several
repairs and maintenance projects on existing buildings.
On behalf of the trustees I’d like to thank the various vendors, exhibitors
and especially the general public for their support of Windsor Fair. With your
participation, the fair will continue to grow and become even more of a showcase
for Maine Agriculture. Tom Foster
